TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Receipt of credits is contingent upon:
1. Student’s regular attendance at scheduled times. Excessive tardiness or unexcused absences may result in
a grade of Incomplete in the specific subject or may result in termination if student does not meet his or her
commitment of attendance and appropriate academic performance.
2. Student meeting appropriate academic performance levels in subject matter to be evaluated by the teacher.
3. Payment in full on account.
4. 1:1 Course Completion and Grading Policy
Students enrolled in a 1:1 course must complete their coursework within one calendar year from the official start date of the class. Progress and grading will be determined based on the following criteria:
If a student completes 50% or more of the course content by the end of the enrollment period, they will receive a final grade based on the work submitted.
If a student completes less than 50% of the course content, a Withdrawal (W) will be recorded on the transcript, indicating that the course was not completed for credit.
Extensions beyond the one-year timeframe may only be granted under extenuating circumstances and must be approved by administration in advance of the deadline.
5. Attending classes at The Hillside School for credit shall be considered the same as attending class at the student’s home school. If out sick, please call the teacher 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so will result in a charge of $90; however, this will not count for an hour of instruction. If on vacation, please send written notice at least two weeks in advance to the teacher.
6. I/We understand that refunds will not be issued. If tuition has not been paid in full, The Hillside School and Learning Center can withhold all evaluations, grades, records, and transcripts.
The undersigned agrees to the terms and conditions of enrollment at The Hillside School and of this contract.
