A strong Hillside needs strong parent support at meetings, functions, and Galas
There are several ways to financially contribute to The Hillside School and Learning Center
Annual Fund Drive: Every year, The Hillside School and Learning Center conducts an Annual Fund Drive, starting October 1. This year the goal is $80,000.00.
Offering a truly focused and personalized education to students with learning challenges requires adequate and consistent financial resources. Tuition alone does not cover the full cost of our effort, so we depend on fund-raising to sustain the excellence of our programs.
It is through the generous gifts of parents, grandparents, foundations, corporations and other supporters that we are able to reach beyond basic classroom education and facilities maintenance.
These gifts make possible everything from construction of new facilities to field trips, technology upgrades, tuition assistance for families in need, and improved teacher training. Perhaps most important, this assistance provides the seed money we need to begin new programs. Our art program, academic counseling program and psychological counseling program all started with a donation.
Personal giving plays a particularly crucial role. We are fortunate to have enjoyed tremendous support over many decades from parents, family, and friends of students, as well as members of the community who understand that The Hillside School and Learning Center is a key community resource.
Every year, our Parent Teacher Organization, in conjunction with our faculty, staff and Board of Directors holds a Gala Event to raise money for our Annual Fund Drive. Activities have included entertainment at The Ice House in Pasadena, dinner dances, patio parties and more. It’s a wonderful evening with a great turnout and a chance to meet other Hillside parents, as well as our Board and faculty, in a social setting.
The Hillside School earns money every time you shop at AmazonSmile. It’s a website operated by Amazon with the same products, prices, and shopping features as Amazon.com. The difference is that when you shop on AmazonSmile, they will donate 0.5% of the purchase price of eligible products to the charitable organization of your choice.
All institutions that depend on donations encourage Planned Giving as a way to support their values and services into the future. The Hillside School is no different. If you would like to explore the generous act of planned giving, please contact our Executive Director, Mr. Robert Frank at email@example.com. He’ll be happy to make an appointment with you and discuss your plans. This is another way of supporting Hillside over a period of time. This is important for the school as it insures the continued growth of the school.
In-Kind Donations & Gifts:
In-Kind Donations & Gifts: It doesn’t take a large sum of cash to help Hillside. It could be a box of paper, art supplies, stationary supplies, case of water, kitchen supplies, or gently use patio furniture.
